“The trees are poems that the Earth write upon the sky.”
On the starting day of your tour, AmazonTravel can arrange pickup for the airport, bus station, or your Hotel to the AmazonTravel offices, where your guide will go over details and safety precautions about your trip before departing at 10:30 a.m. from the marina. We’ll travel by motorized canoe with all the necessary security about 2.5 hours down the impressive Napo River to the community cabins we’ll be staying at. After Check In and a brief induction of your stay, lunch will be served followed by our first jungle walk to observe local birds and monkeys. After dinner, we’ll take a night walk in order to observe frogs, nocturnal mammals, snakes, and insects.
Breakfast will be served at 06:00 a.m. After which we will do various activities such as wildlife sighting of species like toucans, orioles, capuchin, and squirrel, visit the 45-meter-high tower built next to a gigantic Ceibo tree, flora walks, and visit the parrot saladeros where we can observe more than eleven species of parrots including macaws. We’ll return to the lodge for lunch before checking out and departing for El Coca with an arrival time of 4:00 pm. Transfer to the bus station or hotel.
