We’ll pick you up from your hotel or the airport in the City of Coca and head to the Amazon Travel Office. Here you’ll receive all the instructions for the trip before we head to the marina to depart. 09:00 am, we’ll head out by motorized canoe to the Shuar Cultural Center (about 40 min down river). Here we will be cordially greeted with ancestral drinks by an annatto painted. At the center, we’ll learn about their cultural worldview. After, we’ll have a delicious typical lunch accompanied by ingredients from the jungle. After lunch we’ll continue our trip to the Limoncocha Biological Reserve. Here we will observe some species of exotic birds such as the Hoatzins along with other species of monkeys. During the evening, we’ll search for the elusive black caiman before heading to the lodge where we’ll be greeted with a welcome cocktail followed by dinner and rest.
Breakfast is served at 05:00 am. At 06:00 am we leave to visit the lorikeet saladero on the shore of the Napo river followed by a in a short walk through the jungle of Yasuní. We’ll visit the 45-meter high lookout tower built alongside to a gigantic Ceibo tree. At the top we’ll enjoy an unforgettable views and the captivating sounds of the animals. Continuing on our tour, we will visit an incredible saladero of the parrots such as the macaws. After we’ll return to the camp for lunch before heading back and arriving in Coca around 17:00 pm.
