“The trees are poems that the Earth write upon the sky.”
On the starting day of your tour, AmazonTravel can arrange pickup for the airport, bus station, or your Hotel to marina for a 10:30 a.m. departure. We’ll travel by motorized canoe with all the necessary security about 2.5 hours down the impressive Napo River to the community cabins we’ll be staying at. After Check In and a brief induction and safety introduction from your guide, lunch will be served.
During the afternoon we will visit one of the most important reserves in the Amazon, the Limoncocha Biological Reserve where we’ll see birds and monkeys, and as the sunsets look for caimans. Finally we’ll return to the cabins. After dinner, we’ll take a night walk in order to observe frogs, nocturnal mammals, snakes, and insects.
Breakfast will be served at 06:00 a.m. After which we will do various activities such as wildlife sighting of species like toucans, orioles, capuchin, and squirrel, visit the 45-meter-high tower built next to a gigantic Ceibo tree, flora walks, and visit the parrot saladeros where we can observe more than eleven species of parrots including macaws. We’ll return to the lodge for lunch before checking out and departing for El Coca with an arrival time of 4:00 pm. Transfer to the bus station or hotel.
