On the starting day of your tour, AmazonTravel can arrange pickup for the airport, bus station, or your Hotel to the AmazonTravel offices, where your guide will go over details and safety precautions about your trip before departing at 10:30 a.m. from the marina. We’ll travel by motorized canoe with all the necessary security about 2.5 hours down the impressive Napo River to the community cabins we’ll be staying at. After Check In and a brief induction of your stay, lunch will be served followed by our first jungle walk to observe local birds and monkeys.
Breakfast will be served at 06:00 a.m. After which we will do various activities such as wildlife sighting of species like toucans, orioles, capuchin, and squirrel, visit the 45-meter-high tower built next to a gigantic Ceibo tree, flora walks, and visit the parrot saladeros where we can observe more than eleven species of parrots including macaws.
We’ll return to the lodge for lunch. Our afternoon will include more wildlife watching on the banks of the Napo River. After dinner, we’ll take a night walk in order to observe frogs, nocturnal mammals, snakes, and insects.
Breakfast will be served at 06:00 a.m before heading by canoe to Yaku Kawsay within the Yasuni National Park. Here we take a short hike through the jungle to learn about different medicinal and edible plants before having lunch in the sector. During the afternoon, we’ll transfer to the Port of Pompeya and travel by car to Limoncocha Biological Reserve where we’ll see birds and monkeys, and as the sunsets look for caimans. Finally we’ll return to the lodge to have dinner and rest.
Breakfast will be served at 07:00 a.m Afterwards, we’ll head back into the jungle to observe other animal species or animal tracks. We’ll return for lunch, and spend the early afternoon relaxing before our last wildlife hike.
