To take this expedition you must be in the City of El Coca one day before. If you are not there at the appointed time, you will lose your ticket which is not refundable.
At 07:00 a.m. on the starting day of your tour, AmazonTravel will arrange pickup for the airport, bus station, or your Hotel to the AmazonTravel offices, where your guide will go over details and safety precautions about your trip. At 07:30 a.m. we’ll depart for the marina for passport checks before departing for Roca Fuerte at 08:00 a.m. The trip will take about 5 hours. During the journey we will have the opportunity to observe the beauty of the Ecuadorian jungle as well as the different indigenous communities that are settled along the Napo river.
Upon arriving at Nuevo Rocafuerte, the last Ecuadorian border town we’ll have lunch before continuing the expedition along the Aguarico River in the community canoes. We should arrive around 3:30 p.m. at the Yaku Warmi cabins. After Check In and a brief rest, we’ll get ready for our first walk in the jungle to see birds and monkeys. We’ll return to the cabins for dinner and rest.
Breakfast is ready at 06:30 a.m. after which we’ll take to the Cocaya River to watch for Pink Dolphins followed by a walk in the jungle to see more fantastic flora and fauna. We’ll return to the cabins for lunch and in the afternoon we’ll fish for piranhas and paddle around the lagoon to observe other species of animals. During the night we’ll spot for caiman before returning for dinner.
Breakfast will be served at 05:30 a.m Afterwards, we’ll head back into the jungle for early morning wildlife watching and to visit a Macaw saladero. We return to the camp for lunch and then spend the afternoon paddling through the lagoon to observe birds, otters, and pink dolphins before ending the day enjoying the sunset.
After a 06:00 a.m. breakfast, we’ll go Pink Dolphin sighting one last time before heading back to Nuevo Rocafuerte and lunch. Then we’ll leave for El Coca at 12:00 p.m. with an arrival time of 17:00 p.m. AmazonTravel will transfer you to the airport or your hotel.
